We have several opportunities for Licensed Clinical Social Workers /Mental Health Counselors (LMSW/LCSW/MHC)at NEW PATTERNS THERAPY to provide a full range of counseling services to children, couples, families, and adults.
Individuals need to demonstrate professional demeanor, counseling expertise, compassion, excellent interpersonal skills, discretion. Seeking workers who practice any / all of the following -Psychodynamic Approach, through CBT, DBT, EFT, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative, Person-Centered, Solution Focused Brief, Strength-Based, Trauma-Focused, and Family/Couples Therapy.
Opportunities to access clinical support and collaborate with other team members.
Weekly pay with direct deposit.
6 positions available- in two of our locations.
Opportunities in the New York City area.
Education/ Experience Requirements:
New York State Education Department (NYSED) License
Current NYSED registration as a Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker or Psychologist
Minimum 1-2 years in the areas of social work and counseling environments.
We may also consider internships for university credit.
- Candidates with a minimum of 1 year clinical experience and knowledge of the
DSM-V, psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and other clinical modalities are encouraged to apply. Therapists are initially scheduled parttime, with an opportunity to transition to full time. Responsibilities:
- Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues
- Implement and review treatment plans
- Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies
- Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
- Familiarity with community mental health resources
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong leadership qualities
