Job Posting for DSP Team Lead- Residential at New Point Life Services
Summary: The Residential DSP Team Lead works in conjunction with and for the Residential Manager. They are a support position for the Manager and for New Point Life Services. This position exhibits a professional demeanor within the community and on the property. The Team Lead will provide the most compassionate, least restrictive, community-based care for individuals to ensure the highest possible quality of life. In addition, the Team Lead is responsible for staff development, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Job duties are subject to change day to day however will include direct care, documentation, training, record maintenance, ordering and purchasing supplies, scheduling activities, and communicating with guardians and support coordinators.

Duties And Responsibilities
Perform DSP job duties on the assigned shift.
Complete Progress Note Training Form weekly. Recommended to review daily notes from the day before to ensure completion for all individuals. Note time must match the attendance log and include daily outings and pertinent information.
Review Individual logs for specified individuals are completed and maintained when necessary (i.e.: BM’s, Vitals, Blood Glucose, Sleep, Intake and Output, Repositioning, Seizure, Nutrition).
Provide observation of shift function, cleanliness of the house, and staff performance. Report all findings back to the manager.
Provide onsite training to new staff during their first 30 days.
Greet visitors and Support Coordinators arriving after regular hours, ensure proper sign in and sign out, completion of COVID screenings, and field questions.
Correspond with case managers, family members, and potential individuals in a professional manner.
Participate in scheduled staff meetings, required trainings, and required certifications.
Work collaboratively with the house manager to ensure the DSP’s implement support instructions are followed according to the individual’s plan.
Assist in event planning/holiday decorating, budget planning, and community activities.
Assist with medical appointments as needed.
Complete personal care and grocery shopping.
May need to complete quarterly reviews, acquire provider and individual signatures, and submit for review.
