The Regenexx Tampa Bay Medical Front Office Administrative Specialist (Sarasota office) provides operational office support in delivery of patient care in a physician office environment. Responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, processing medical records, scheduling follow-up appointments, check-in and check-out patients, insurance verification and obtaining referrals & authorizations from Primary Care Physician and/or insurance carrier.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with physicians, call center staff, and other clinic personnel
- Responsible for patient verification of insurance eligibility and benefits
- Effectively multitask while tracking several tasks and follow-ups to completion
- Accurately maintain and manage patient records in EHR
- Greet patients warmly
- Register patients according to established protocols
- Answer and triage incoming calls; transfer calls as required
- Deal with patient inquiries
- Schedule patient follow-up appointments
- Collect and post patient payments
- Respond and comply to requests for information
- Maintain stock of forms and office supplies
- Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
- Complete other clerical duties as assigned
- Coverage for other offices for sickness, vacation etc...
Success Factors:
- Experience working in a healthcare and knowledge of medical terminology is strongly preferred
- Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
- Proficient in use of computer systems for data entry, communication, EHR.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma
