Part Time Life Coach - Hybrid Schedule

Would you like to be associated with one of the largest, most innovative and comprehensive nonprofits of its kind in the United States serving children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD and developmental delays?

Advance LA is an innovative program that provides a wide array of services to young adults ages 16-29 with diverse needs including learning differences, autism spectrum disorder, executive functioning difficulties, ADHD and other social or emotional challenges.  Our Coaches work with young adults and their families to foster personal growth and development, inspire a sense of mastery and accomplishment, and guide clients as they advance toward greater levels of independence. Our services include one-on-one coaching, social activities, classes and workshops, support groups, conferences, special events and more.   

The Right Candidate will be able to train, support, and assist clients with the development and/or enhancement of skills leading towards meeting their personal goals and objectives. Life skill domains include academic, vocational/employment, independent living, executive functioning, social, and health and wellness. Coaching is provided in a variety of settings, including in the office, in client homes, on college campuses and in community settings.  Virtual coaching is also available and scheduling is often flexible to meet the needs of both the clients and Coach.

Salary range: $23.55 - $24.00/hr

 WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE, WHO HAS:   

• BA in Psychology, Social Work or Public Health required (other related disciplines considered   
• Master’s degree and Registered Intern with the BBS preferred   (Supervised licensure hours available)  
• Minimum two years’ experience in the social services or special education arena  
• Experience and/or training working with young adults with special needs  
• Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience; reliable car and clean driving record required.
