Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of food service operations, including menu planning, food production, and food preparation.
- Manage and lead a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and high-quality service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper sanitation standards in the kitchen.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and efficiency of food service operations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and finance, to manage inventory and control costs.
- Train and mentor staff on food service procedures, including proper food handling and customer service.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address any concerns or complaints in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in food service management.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food production and preparation techniques.
- Proven experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve goals.
- Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and ability to implement proper sanitation practices.
- Previous experience in food service management, preferably in a hotel or similar setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and inventory management.
- Strong interviewing skills to effectively assess potential candidates for kitchen positions.
