Assistant Brewer/ Cellar Operator

New Story is a fast-pace, regional brewery startup based in Tulsa, OK. We are seeking a self-motivated, beer enthusiast to join our team as a Cellar & Warehouse Operator.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage a clean, organized and safe warehouse work area
• Schedule, load, and unload shipments of materials or finished products
• Assist in the canning and packaging of beverages
• Assist in the counting of inventory and planning of new orders
• Assist in brewhouse and fermentation vessel and area cleaning
• Assist Head brewer in the beer production process, including brewing, cellaring, and packaging
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues
• Understand and adhere to safety standards
• Alert management to potential quality or safety concerns
• Understand and follow all safety procedures including use of personal protection equipment
• Log information immediately and accurately requiring reliable and clear written documentation by hand, in documents, or in our ERP software
• Participate in sensory analysis of products

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to safely operate all pallet moving devices (e.g. forklift, pallet jack)
• Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities
• Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Working knowledge of email, word processing, spreadsheets
• Preferred qualification- 2 years experience in production brewing

Other Requirements:

Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently lift 50lbs to shoulder height and push or pull 160 lbs. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, and operate objects, tools, and controls.

• May be required to work weekend
• May be required a valid driver license and a clean driving record

• Full time employees are entitled to accrue PTO - Starting rate 2 weeks/year
• Full time employees may be eligible for a performance bonus
