New Story School in Lore City, OH is seeking a qualified Behavior Technician to teach and mentor our emotional support students. The Behavior Technician (BT) will be expected to perform all duties under the direction of a lead Intervention Specialist (IS) and/or BCBA Consultant in public schools and home-based settings. The BT will recommend and implement strategies in the schools and homes that reflect New story concepts and practices to assist identified students with behavioral needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting administrators, teachers, and paraprofessionals in developing behavior management strategies for students in classrooms under the direction of a lead IS and/or BCBA.
- Collecting and analyzing data under the direction of an IS and/or BCBA
- Providing feedback to all individuals involved in working with identified students based on collected data.
- Facilitating and assisting in the creation of resources to assist identified students.
- Provide parent coaching and feedback to address behavior and other needs in identified in the home.
- Collaborating with all individuals involved with identified students to facilitate communication between schools and homes.
- Providing social skills training to identified students as needed.
- Assisting lead IS and/or BCBA Consultants in Professional Development opportunities for school staff and parents.
