The Role
Our client is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Data Scientist to join their dynamic team. They are driven by a mission to leverage advanced machine learning models for tackling real-world marketing challenges. The perfect candidate for them possesses a deep grasp of machine learning principles and algorithms, with hands-on expertise in harnessing Databricks for model development and deployment.
Reports to
- Vice President of Data Science
Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Leverage Databricks to extract insights and create new audiences from diverse first and third-party data sources.
- Apply advanced modeling techniques to develop and refine target audiences for marketing and analytics.
- Take ownership of managing and updating models to ensure they stay accurate and effective in driving business outcomes.
- Create and implement machine learning models to address marketing challenges
- Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend their requirements and transform them into machine learning solutions
- Partner with fellow data scientists, engineers, and analysts to establish and manage machine learning pipelines
- Assess and oversee the effectiveness of machine learning models
- Stay informed about the latest advancements and trends in machine learning technologies
Qualifications
- Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional certification is preferred (must be open to completing a certification upon offer)
- 5 years of post-education experience developing and deploying machine learning models, with at least 2 of those years directly focus on Databricks ML
- Highly experienced with Python scikit-learn, Spark, and SQL
- Demonstrable understanding of machine learning principles and algorithms
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
