Job Opportunity
New Windsor Communications is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Installer/Broadband Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and test data and voice communication equipment
- Configure, maintain, and monitor end-user telecommunication hardware and devices
- Perform on-site analysis and thorough testing of equipment to identify and isolate problems
- Repair systems and equipment through troubleshooting until issues are resolved
- Update plant records and maintain a current knowledge of emerging products, services, protocols, and standards
- Generate telecommunications equipment usage and inventory reports as required
Requirements:
- Knowledge of voice communication and digital technology
- Calix B Series Switches, Ribbon C15, Brocade knowledge is a bonus
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Interact with co-workers and customers in a professional manner
- Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and independently
- High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of telecommunications schooling or work experience
Additional Requirements:
- Able to distinguish colors of wire
- Able to move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
- Able to stoop, bend, twist, squat, kneel, push, pull, and reach
- Comfortable traveling to and entering customers' residences
- Must have a high standard of workmanship, reliability, and work ethics
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
