What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Assistant position at New York Center for Infants and Toddlers, Inc.?
New York Center for Infants & Toddlersis seeking to hire full-time AND part-time Teaching Assistants to work one to one with children in our Early Intervention program designed for young children with autism.

*Please note salary pay is for Full time employees. Part time employees will be offered Fee for Service pay*
Education Requirements:
- Associate Degree or Higher
The following are preferred but not required:
- Experience working with young children
- Experience volunteering, mentoring, tutoring, babysitting, etc
- Interest in early childhood education
All services will be provided under the supervision of the NYS Certified Head Teacher.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide direct service, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or JASPER Early Intervention instruction in classroom (Please note – training is provided for these techniques)
- Collect and record children’s progress and responses to interventions utilized in the classroom
- Assist teacher in preparation for daily activity, making sure all pieces of activity are complete and neatly presented
- Provide daily feedback to families regarding children’s progress, performance, and how best to incorporate goals into children’s daily routine
- Other duties as assigned
Full-time hours are: 7:30am-4:30pm
Part-time hours are: 7:30am-12:00pm or 12:15pm-4:45pm
