Job Description
Shift: Tour 2 - 8 a.m - 4 p.m
Purpose:
Performs those general clerical services involved in providing medical information to physicians and other facilities, attorneys/insurance companies at the authorized request to the patient.
Specific Duties and Responsbilities:
The Clerical Associate III is charged with and responsible for:
Instructs the patient in the complete and accurate process for the release of information.
Handles in person request for medical information on a daily basis.
Retrieves records to satisfy patient, attorney and Department of Health requests.
Xeroxing patient specific data to satisfy the request of medical information
Fosters respect for patient privacy by maintaining confidentiality in all phases of work.
Other related tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
1. A four-year High School Diploma or its educational equivalent and eighteen months of
satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement:
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per
minute.
