Bakery Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor ensures that the highest quality products such as rolls, breads, bagels, and pretzels are produced by monitoring all aspects of the production process. This individual will maintain a positive work environment by inspiring employees through strong leadership, vision, and passion. They will plan, organize, and provide leadership necessary for achieving productions goals while providing the highest quality products to our customers. The Production Supervisor will monitor the production processes, making necessary adjustments in scheduling, and/or improve production methods/techniques to achieve company goals. They will ensure compliance with Production practices and inspecting all areas within the Mfg. line for any operational and/or mechanical issues as well as taking corrective action.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ability to train others how to effectively operate mixers and other production machinery with a high degree of proficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate, maintain and monitor production processes and procedures to ensure product meets or exceeds customer consistency and quality standards, while minimizing waste.
• Ensuring each dough and product are made following the correct recipe and customer specifications.
• Leading a diverse team across multiple production lines in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
• Implement and enforce company procedures and policies, including training, coaching, and disciplining employees.
• Writing and delivering relevant and useful performance reviews in a timely manner.
• Ensuring all daily production documentation is completely and accurately filled out.
• Ensure safety standards are met and all safeguards are being utilized properly.
• Ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and SQF Practices are being followed.
• Proactively assist with department staffing and scheduling as needed.
• Ensure all employees are maintaining the areas clean and organized.

Required Skills:

• Ability to perform job functions and tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to recognize and focus on details ensuring products consistently meet quality standards.
• Ability to multitask cohesively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and computational skills.
• Understanding of function between ingredients, time, and temperature in the baking process.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position.
• Applicant must pass a drug test during the pre-employment process.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with coworkers and supervisors.
• Knowledge of HACCP, SSOP, & GMP’s as related to the food industry.
• 1 year production supervisory experience in a high-volume Bakery Manufacturing facility.
• Experience with large-scale bakery equipment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position.
• 3 years of Commercial Bakery Supervisory experience.
• AIB Training Bilingual in Spanish and/or Creole
