The Electrophysiology PA role is designed to support the (EP) Electrophysiologist and clinical team through participation in the full array of electrophysiology procedures in the EP laboratory setting, including maintaining a sterile field, patient prep, hemodynamic and EKG monitoring. This role includes management of complications in the department including the prep/recovery area and independently performs procedures including CV and loop recorders. This PA will work under the Director of Electrophysiology, along with the cardiology department and will work primarily in the procedural setting, covering electrophysiology, cardiac cath and some general cardiology patients. Our PA will perform a variety of technical duties in multiple modalities which includes electrophysiology, pacemaker, ICD, Bi-V PPM and ICD implants. Our PA will also perform device interrogations for the inpatient, emergency room, MRI, and peri-operative population. The EP PA will also partner to support the management of all EP inventories, including devices and disposable supplies. He/She will assist with billing and charging for supplies, as well as be responsible for performing daily Quality Assurance checks on Radiographic, Hemodynamic, and a full range of EP equipment.
Schedule: Full time; Four 10-hour shifts per week; no weekends, holidays, or on call shifts required
