Iljin Alabama Corporation located in Phenix City, AL is seeking Production Machine Operators
Job Summary:
Performs repetitive work station assembly operations to produce finished bearing product. Maintains safe, organized and clean work areas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs assembly function using necessary hand or power tools.
Operates overhead cranes.
Interprets list bill of materials, verifies accuracy of parts and inspects all parts before assembly. Reports any problems to management.
Follows process instructions.
Records data from inspections.
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
Performs inspection of machined products and documents results as appropriate
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
The candidate for this position must have knowledge of basic hand held measuring tools, and the ability to read and interpret bill of materials. Must be able to follow directions well and able to understand simple written instructions, memos, and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate is a self starter with the ability to perform daily tasks with minimal direct supervision, a strong sense of responsibility to the job with respect to attendance and good judgement. Must also understand that working safely, following company guidelines and policies on safety, are a requirement for the job.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
The candidate will have a high school diploma and 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in machining and the metal removing industry. A good attendance record, performance record, and ability to work well with others is necessary. We offer excellent benefits, 401K and competitive wages.
