Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of our deli department, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve a variety of deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and hot foods

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area

- Assist customers with inquiries, orders, and recommendations

- Operate deli equipment including slicers, ovens, and steamers

- Follow food safety protocols to ensure product freshness and sanitation standards

- Handle cash transactions and operate a POS system

- Support kitchen staff with food preparation and stocking supplies

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in customer service or food service preferred

- Knowledge of basic math for handling transactions.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

- Familiarity with culinary techniques is a plus

- Understanding of food safety guidelines and regulations

- ServSafe Certified

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
