Description: Provide academic and behavioral support to special education students as directed by the Special Education teacher. Assist with clerical duties of the supervising teacher.
Requirements: Two years of college, associate’s degree or passing score on a para-professional exam in reading, writing and math as required by federal law. Experience working with students in a school setting. Understanding of various disabilities. Must be able to: (1) become MANDT certified; (2) assist in positioning of students; (3) follow prescribed medical, feeding and emergency protocols; and (4) work independently and maintain positive relationships with staff, specialists, students, and parents. Employment contingent upon fingerprinting. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination upon hire.
Qualifications Desired: Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills strongly desired, flexible, and willing to do a variety of jobs. Relates well to students and staff. Experience with students with a learning disability. Flexible, adaptable and organized.

Calendar/Benefits: 7 hours per day when school is in session
Range 7 SpEd of the 2022-23 Classified Salary Schedule TBD (was $15.97 - $17.72 in 2021-22, current staff consult the contract).
