Job Title: Driver/Transportation

Reports To: Resident Service Director

Newbridge Retirement Community is seeking an energetic individual to join our team as the full-time Driver. This individual will represent Newbridge to the residents, their guests, families, and the community in a professional and positive manner.

As the Driver, you will be responsible for transporting residents to/from appointments, shopping trips, and delivering packages to residents in a timely manner. Drivers will ensure that vehicles are always ready for use and keeping vehicles cleaned and maintained.

I. Job Responsibilities:

• Transporting residents from appointments, shopping, etc.
• Accommodates valet service to our residents and guests as needed.
• Carrying out vehicle maintenance checks.
• Delivering packages to residents in a timely manner.
• Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs.
• Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal route.
• Interacting with residents in professional conduct.
• Working after hours or weekends when needed.
• Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
• Arranging for vehicle repairs when necessary.
• Updating monthly mileage records.
• Driving a variety of vehicles, cars, vans and trucks.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

II. Qualifications/Skills:

• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication
• Passion for working with older adults
• Ability to work well with others, communicate clearly and take direction from management
• Ability to take initiative and go above and beyond to meet resident needs
• Computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite as well as the ability to learn new applications
• Ability to meet all physical demands of the position which includes, but is not limited to, seeing, speaking, touching, walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, crouching/kneeling or crawling, as well as the ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs independently and up to 100lbs with assistance
• Demonstrate an ability to work with the public with a professional image
• Exceptional interpersonal skills

III. Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three years related experience and/or training
• A valid driver's license
• 1-year driving experience
• Proficiency using GPS devices
