Organizes , directs and supervises the Newburgh Housing Authority's facilities and programs. Administers the programs priorities by formulating policies, and providing sound leadership and management.
- Manages public housing developments
- Manages waiting list and application process
- Arranges leases, rentals and tenant activity programs
- Rents apartments to incoming tenants
- Reviews tenants' incomes to ascertain their rental payments.
- Handles socioeconomic problems among tenants.
- Inspects grounds and buildings for damage and extermination problems.
- Refers tenants to social agencies.
- Orients new tenants.
- supervises the collection of rents.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Social Services or other related fields or an associate degree from a NYS accredited college and three years' experience related to management or administration in a real estate or a governmental organization.
Graduation from high school or the possession of a high school equivalency diploma and four years related experience.
Permanent hire is subject to passing Civil Service examination.
