Position Title: Lead Mobile Developer - iOS
Location: Aurora, IL or Atlanta, GA
New Product Development engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, passionate Mobile Application Developer to develop iOS apps for next generation of connected smart home products. Your app will be used by every consumer of First Alert connected products and whatever you develop or enhance will receive lots of visibility, instantly. As a member of collaborative engineering team, you will be defining and implementing interfaces, user experience and new features, and fixing problems and enhancing performance. The nature of the position requires the candidate to have excellent communication skills, strong technical and debugging skills, along with a drive to make a difference.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- 7 years of experience in iOS app full life-cycle development and mass deployment
- Experience developing native iOS Applications (Swift/Objective C) is a must. Experience developing in SwiftUI is preferred
- Excellent analytical, programming and debugging skills
- Track record of designing, developing, and shipping great apps is a must. Must be able to provide working examples of deployed apps in market
- Experience working with HomeKit, WiFi or BLE connected device is preferred
- Prior experience with Jira is a plus
- Mentor junior engineers as needed. Holds everyone to high coding standards, leads by example
- Zealous about high quality, high interaction consumer product.
- Make the best design and implementation decisions to ensure quality and efficiency. Advocate for the end user
- Self-motivated and obsessively passionate and inquisitive and seek to solve everyday problems in innovative ways.
- Highly focused, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules.
- Be able to estimate task completion times and follow through on deadlines and commitments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Education
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (MS preferred)
