Summary Drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor trailer combination to transport and deliver products, or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operate any type of truck including semi-trailers to transport finished goods, parts and materials within the company parking lot.
- Complete pre/post equipment checks and immediately report needed maintenance.
- Maintain service on equipment such as checking and adding fuel, oil, water, air, etc.
- Get job instructions, handle materials to and from workstation.
- Review transportation tags or shipping tags, verify correct count and merchandise and operate forklift to load and unload vehicles or direct the loading or unloading of vehicles by other personnel.
- Hand stacks items in trucks and trailers; report damage to equipment and complete accident reports as required.
- Operate vehicles within plants,
- Report any medical issues or driving incidents that affect your driving status.
- Keep workstation in order.
- Perform other duties as required by company management.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and explosives. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
PPE - Personal Protection Equipment: Safety Shoes and Safety Glasses Required. Hand protection required when using a box knife. Safety vest must be worn.
Job Requirements
- 2 - 4 years Class 'A' truck driving experience including knowledge of safety regulations as established by DOT.
- Must be able to drive a forklift.
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to office inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
