What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ice Cream Artist (Seasonal) position at Newport Marina?
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Ice Cream Artist to join our team. As an Ice Cream Artist, you will be responsible for creating delicious ice cream treats and providing exceptional customer service. If you have a passion for ice cream and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
This is a seasonal position starting the middle of May and running through the whole summer. The season ends the beginning of September.
*Nights and weekends are required*
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and make a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings
- Operate ice cream machines and equipment
- Ensure the quality and consistency of the ice cream products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work area
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders and serving customers
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
-Night and weekend availability a must
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects as needed
