What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand New Cleaning Team average earning £25,000 position at Newrest?
Earn £22,000 per annum with the potential to earn in excess of £25,000 with oertime.
We are looking for people to join our cleaning team, within our prestigious purpose-built Unit that has been operating for just over 2 years.
You will be part of our team, who look after all areas, ensuring with meet our compliance and clients needs.
CONTRACT: Full-time, Permanent, Starting as soon as possible.
LOCATION: London Gatwick - Crawley.
SALARY: Average earnings of £25,000.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- To clean each area of the unit in accordance to the cleaning schedule.
- Manage chemical to ensure the correct dosage is used.
- Ensure all chemicals are kept locked in the chemical cupboard when not in use.
- Cleaning up any spills immediately to avoid slips.
- Always put out the correct signage to inform staff of cleaning and the potential risk.
- Ensure each area of the unit has a monthly deep clean in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
- Ensure timely replenishment of food hygiene items i.e., hairnets, beard snoods, hand wash soap, sanitizers
- Adhere to clean as you go standard
- Adhere to inflight services security compliance
- Adhere to Unit safety measures in place.
- Adhere to inflight services security compliance.

- Interact with, colleagues, customers and clients in a professional manner at all times.
- Comply with all unit Corporate, Social, Responsibility initiatives.
- Any other duties as requested by your manager.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in catering (desirable).
- The ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Excellent communication, team work and customer service skills.
- Good literacy skills, verbal written and spoken.
- Operational awareness, understand of HACCP, COSHH, DDA, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and DFT requirements. (Role specific)
- Fork lift driving duties (if applicable)
