What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian Lead position at Newrest?
Newrest is looking for a Custodian Lead to join our Dishwashing Department. This individual will be responsible for leading and coordinating the work of the Custodian staff in conjunction with management direction. Responsible for monitoring inventory of supplies needed for cleaning, submit work orders, perform duties of Custodian, review work of staff and provide correction. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by requirements and business needs.
**THIS POSITION IS PAID ON A WEEKLY BASIS. FREE LUNCH EVERY DAY**
Pay: $20 per hour
Essential Functions:
- Leads team of Custodians to ensure scheduled assignments are completed in timely fashion
- Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA, state/local, federal, and company regulations
- Maintains a clean and orderly environment
- Properly cleans and maintains multiple areas as assigned
- Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
- Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
- Frequently removes dusts and debris from high and low surfaces
- Completes any daily paperwork required
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
- Cleaning the restrooms and office areas. Sweeping, mopping and dusting
- Industrial Cleaning to include high dusting, and cleaning outside decks
Qualifications:
- Prior lead experience preferred
- Previous custodial experience preferred but not required
- The ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds and the ability to climb stairs as needed are required.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Must be at least 18 years old.
