Financial Coordinator - Financial Clearance Center -7th Avenue (Hybrid)
The Financial Coordinator reviews patient benefits to determine the estimated out-of-pocket costs for patient care on an individual basis and informs patients of available resources for charges incurred, as needed.
The Financial Coordinator serves as an expert in initiating and obtaining pre-authorizations through review and submission of clinical, demographic, and insurance information. This function is critical in supporting complex extremely time-sensitive patient care and reimbursement of high-dollar services in a highly dynamic environment.
This is a hybrid position with 80% work at home and 20% in the corporate office (463 7th Ave).
Preferred Criteria
- Knowledge CPT/ICD10
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or significant work experience in lieu of degree
Required Criteria
- High School Diploma or GED
- Five years related experience
- Knowledge of third party reimbursement (contracting and non-contracting) and eligibility requirements for all subsidy programs
- Knowledge of Commercial/Government coverage
- Knowledge/ability to obtain insurance benefit verification
