Nurse Administrator - Psychiatry - Westchester - Per Diem
Manage patient care delivery across the hospital during evening and night shifts, serving as a clinical resource and administrator in the absence of unit leaders or when care-related issues arise. Direct quality improvement, regulatory compliance, staffing, documentation and professional development. Serve as a high-level advocate for patient rights, promoting patient and family satisfaction while working to ensure safe and healing care environments. Collaborate with our Patient Care Directors and other managers to plan and implement strategies for enhanced performance. Be the face of effectiveness, nursing-led excellence and compliance as a Nurse Administrator across NewYork-Presbyterian as we continue on our Magnet Journey.
The per diem Nurse Administrator works 8-hour or 12 hour shifts, covering all shift but including nights and weekends.
Preferred Criteria
At least 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience
Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Certification
Master Degree in Nursing
Required Criteria
3 years of recent progressive leadership experience
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
