Job Description:
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and optimization of all accounting functions, and providing timely financial reports to support decision-making processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations
- Prepare budgets and financial forecasts
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Manage local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings
- Streamline current processes for more efficient financial reporting and tax filings
- Recommend benchmarks against which to measure company operations
- Manage the production of the annual budget
- Calculate variances in the budget and report issues
- Maintain a system of accounts
- Handle all accounts payable and receivables
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles
- Excellent understanding of accounting software and administration skills
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
- Knowledge of all laws pertaining to accounting, tax, and reporting

Experience:
- Comptroller or full-charge bookkeeper: 5 years (required)
- Accounting: 5 years (required)
