Salary Range: $15.00 - $20.00 (Depending on experience)
MUST be experienced in all aspects of general carpentry, sheetrock patch, finish/painting, installation of cabinets, flooring installation, etc.

Job Summary The Construction Crew Associate will perform general carpentry/maintenance
duties as it pertains to the day-to-day activities of the Nexion Construction Company. You will be required to complete the assigned
work in accordance with current federal, state and local standard guidelines governing
our facilities. The Construction Crew Associate will ensure our facilities are
maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. This position reports directly to the
Regional Director of Maintenance.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in the
day-to-day carpentry/maintenance functions of assigned duties.
Assist the Maintenance
Lead in daily duties as assigned.
Ensure that
work schedules are followed as closely as practical.
Submit
accident/incident reports to on the
shift in which they occurred.
Perform
administrative requirements (i.e., completing necessary forms, reports,
etc.) and submit to , as necessary.
Attend
department and staff meetings as directed or called.
Report daily
absenteeism and tardiness to .
Ensure that
fire safety guidelines are followed.
Wear and/or
use safety equipment and supplies (e.g., back brace, mechanical lifts,
etc.) when lifting or moving heavy objects.
Ensure that
assigned work areas are maintained in a safe and attractive manner.
Maintain material
safety data sheets (SDSs) for hazardous chemicals in the construction department.
Ensure that
containers of hazardous chemicals used by construction crew are properly
labeled and stored.
Report all
hazardous conditions or equipment to.
Ensure that
established infection control and universal precautions practices are
maintained when working in facility.
Report
occupational exposure incidents to .
Become knowledgeable of maintenance practices and
procedures in nursing care facilities.
Ensure that
refuse is disposed of daily and in accordance with our established
sanitation procedures.
Ensure
equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.
Knock before
entering a resident’s room.
Ensure that
the residents’ personal and property rights are maintained.
Notify department
nursing or administrative staff before moving a resident(s) personal
possession.
Position Qualifications
Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Must have maintenance and carpentry experience in a
health-related facility.
Must
have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver license.
Must
have the ability to travel (out of state) for up to 2weeks at a time.
Must
be able to install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors,
framing, trimming, siding, and molding.
Knowledgeable
at framing interior walls, building stairs and railing, installing
drywall, placing crown molding, and interior doors, cabinets and ceiling
tiles.
Maintain
full compliance with building codes and health and safety regulations.
Work with materials such as
wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall.
Utilize construction tools effectively
and efficiently such as but not limited to chisels, planes, saws, drills,
and sanders.
Use of ladders and lifts.
Proficient in painting.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand
the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent
decisions, accept and follow instructions.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with facility
personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government
agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Must possess ability and the willingness to work with
a team and in a team setting.
