Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in the excavation and utility sector. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects and providing detailed proposals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, project management, and construction estimating.

Duties:

- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required

- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates

- Utilize industry-standard software such as Planswift to create detailed estimates

- Review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget

- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify any potential cost-saving opportunities

- Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials at competitive prices

- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, contracts, and change orders

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred

- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry

- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques

- Proficiency in project management software and tools

- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from subcontractors and suppliers

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,858.00 - $90,000.00 per year
