We are seeking an experienced and motivated Porter, to take care of our building and carry out cleaning and maintenance. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.
Shift: 6PM-10PM - Monday- Friday
$18.00/hr - Weekly Pay
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of public areas, offices, restrooms, and other designated spaces to maintain a pristine and sanitary environment.
- Empty trash receptacles, recycle bins, and ensure proper disposal and recycling practices are followed.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors as required. Perform periodic floor maintenance activities, such as waxing and buffing.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring the availability of essential supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Wipe and disinfect surfaces, including desks, chairs, tables, and other fixtures as necessary.
- Clean and maintain windows to ensure they are spotless and presentable.
- Identify and report maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department, ensuring a prompt resolution.
- Monitor security during the night shift and report any suspicious activities to the security team.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and cleaning staff to ensure all areas are properly serviced.
Requirements and skills
- Proven working experience as a Janitor
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Integrity and ability to work independently
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and operating cleaning equipment.
- High school degree
- Ability to work the night shift and adjust to varying work schedules as needed.
- Must be able to successfully pass a Background check
