We are looking for a Licensed Play Therapist Counselor Associate (LPC-A, LMFT-A, LMSW) for our clinic in Plano, TX to be a part of our dynamic team of psychologists, therapists and registered dietitians. Licensed Play Therapist Counselor Associates not only help our clients reach their full potential, but they also play a key role in the continued success and future growth of our organization.

Compensation for Licensed Play Therapist Associate (LPC-A, LMFT-A, LMSW):

• Salary from $48,000.00
• Compensation is based on experience for fully licensed professionals.
• $2,500 Signing Bonus
• Interns and Associates are welcome to apply. Compensation is based on licensure, total hours accumulated and experience.

Role and Responsibilities for Licensed Play Therapists and Counselors Associate (LPC-A, LMFT-A, LMSW):

• Provides a range of therapeutic interventions with children of all ages with mental health disorders utilizing empirically supported modalities.
• Provide parent feedback and skills training when working with children to ensure the entire family unit is included in treatment.
• Provides evidenced-based play therapy interventions using various modalities for children and adolescents.
• Applicant must have experience with children ages 3-17 with a full range of mental health disorders.
• Applicants must enjoy working with children ages 3-17. Attend and participate in treatment team meetings or professional staff conferences with other clinicians.
• Meets ethical obligations for timely documentation of counseling services per State of Texas licensure requirements.
• Per state licensure requirements, participates in continuing education and professional development activities related to the performance of job functions and maintenance of skills in one’s professional specialty area.
• Seeks consultation from peers and leadership for difficult clinical cases.
• Maintain an open line of communication with care providers, patients, and their family members to efficiently address treatment concerns.

Minimum Qualifications for Licensed Play Therapists and Counselors Associate (LPC-A, LMFT-A, LMSW):

• Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and APA standards as it related to client treatment, patient rights, and client/patient confidentiality.
• Knowledge of psychological testing techniques, administration, and interpretation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Education equivalent to a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Must be licensed (passed the State exam) as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in the State of Texas.
• Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy.
