What You'll Receive as a Cost Accountant:
- Pay: $60,000- $70,000 (depending on your experience)
- Shift: DAY Shift (Mon- Fri)

- Contract- to Hire
- Weekly Payday (every Friday)
- Located in Sherwood, OR
What You'll Be Doing as a Cost Accountant:
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Assist with corporate accounting functions, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliations and analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Support financial accounting processes, such as month-end and year-end close activities.
- Assist with technical accounting research and provide recommendations for compliance with accounting standards
- Collaborate with accounts payable and payroll teams to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Perform account analysis to ensure proper classification and reporting of financial data.
- In summary - Experienced in AP/AR, Reconciliation, Budgeting, Forecasting, Month end tasks, Closing books; Journal Entries, Balancing labor hours, Setting up ACH Wires.
What You'll Need to Have as a Cost Accountant:
- Minimum of 3-year prior experience in Accounting, but 5 years preferred.
- Accounting degree from a 4-year university preferred.
- Previous experience with oversight of payroll staff a plus, but not required.
- Require leadership of the accounting group - small group currently of 5 people in our current accounting group- You will be working directly with under the Controller.
- Must be comfortable with Excel, Pivot Tables, and Spreadsheets.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial accounting practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
