What we are looking for Senior Accountant

Join our team in Tempe, AZ - Remote Position
POSITION SUMMARY:
Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, or other financial activities within the company. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accurate accounting records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create and post journal entries to the general ledger
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, as assigned
- Maintain fixed asset schedules for internal/GAAP books, federal tax, and state tax, including asset additions, transfers and disposals
- Expense account variance analysis at month-end closing, as assigned
- Create required reports for management
- Assist with requests from various departments and management
- Assist with the preparation of various tax returns, which may include personal property tax, sales/use tax, gross receipts tax, and franchise tax returns
- Prepare various external audit schedules and analysis, as assigned
- Performs other related duties as assigned or described in Company policy
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of three years working experience in Accounting
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Superb attention to detail
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Desire to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Knowledge of Great Plains
Experience: Healthcare Industry experience
