The ideal Lead Marketing Specialist/Associate is very versatile and can support the marketing department in a variety of areas. This individual will provide the necessary support to initiate, develop, implement, and/or measure projects, programs, and initiatives. The ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a being very detailed-oriented and well-organized.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with business stakeholders to define marketing objectives and advertising initiatives throughout the year
- Track progress against the marketing operational plan
- Create, write and edit copy directed to both external and internal audiences. This includes, but is not limited to: articles, scripts, marketing collateral, web content, forum responses, blogs, newsletters, social media posts, media inquiries, press releases, and more
- Maintain library of marketing assets on shared drive
- Develop and execute a content calendar to ensure consistent social media activity (posts), that aligns with brand persona in order to engage target audiences.
- Coordinate with Customer Care and Quality Assurance for handling of online reputational management issues
- Manage relationships with outside graphic designers to ensure delivery of deliverables meet quality standards and are on time and on budget
- Develop and effectively manage a comprehensive event calendar
- Manage all components of event planning and execution
- Stay up to date on the latest marketing trends, tools, technologies, and platforms
- Knowledge share with colleagues to establish a team culture of collaboration, innovation, curiosity, and passion
- Demonstrate discipline and organization in executing projects, while building and maintaining great relationships with co-workers, stakeholders, and agency partners
- Other Tasks as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Experience working in social media management tools such as Sprinklr, Khoros, or Hootsuite preferred
- Experience in energy industry a plus
- Ability to travel occasionally for events and conferences
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.) a plus
