A Laser Technician at NPX Medical is responsible for manufacturing laser-processed medical devices. Performs laser machine setups, runs products on the laser, performs visual inspection, quality measurements, and other related activities. Also involved with CAD/CAM programming activities. Ensures products conform to performance and quality standards by promptly communicating and addressing any product concerns. The Technician works directly with the Laser Operators, QA, and Management team to meet rapid turn times and shipment goals. A Laser Technician is responsible for following the established procedures and quality system practices as required by NPX and the customer requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs machine set-ups of CNC laser cutting systems.
- Performs the quality measurement of customer parts to confirm part adherence to print specifications.
- Performs the training of operators for the laser systems and part processing.
- Performs the CAD/CAM programming duties for customer prints.
- Coordinates the manufacturing run of products.
- Can perform validation procedures I.E. (IQ, OQ, PQ) when applicable.
- Inspects using equipment including micrometers, gage pins, calipers, and vision scopes.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Requirements
QULAIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent. Technical degree is a plus.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in laser processing, precision CNC, or other technical field is desired.
- Ideal candidate has a strong technical inclination and good attention to detail.
- Experience with medical device manufacturing is a plus.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, self-starting person looking for a growth opportunity.
- Ability to utilize basic math and documentation skills.
- Ability to interact with team of operators, quality, and engineering support.
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing, evolving environment.

Salary : $33,900 - $43,000
