Travel Nurse RN CVICU

Registered Nurse - CVICU

Duties:

- Provide direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Perform physical examinations and assessments of patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and laboratory results
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Assist with procedures such as spinal taps, mammography, and dermal fillers
- Manage airways and provide respiratory support as needed
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and home care instructions

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a CVICU or similar critical care setting
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular diseases, treatments, and interventions
- Experience with primary care for patients with cardiac conditions
- Ability to effectively manage complex patient cases and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) protocols and procedures

Requirements:

- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of {location}
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current certification in ACLS and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
