POSITION SUMMARYConducts classroom training covering regulation and operation of commercial motor vehicles as well as in-cab, over-the-road training covering proper inspection and operation of commercial motor vehicles.Key AccountabilitiesEssential FunctionsEvaluates individual driver skill levels and develops individual learning plans to obtain CDL or Companies Decision Driving Program.Conducts classroom training covering regulation and operation of commercial motor vehicle.Determine learning needs for driver’s using simulator and creating individual lesson plans to achieve desired goals.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge/Skill/AbilityExcellent knowledge of FMCSA regulations regarding inspection and operation of commercial motor vehiclesAbility to achieve 100% score on the Company’s driving test courseAbility to operate the Company’s commercial driving simulatorsDetail-oriented and strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.Ability to organize and prioritize work with consistent follow-through.Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented environment as well as with a wide variety of senior management, and business personnel.Ability to conduct training in front of small to large groupsAbility to determine best course of training to achieve driver’s goals from driving evaluation.Excellent knowledge of pre-trip inspections
