Nextran Truck Centers (formerly Westfall O’Dell Truck Sales) is seeking Diesel Technicians for its Volvo/Mack Service Department in Fruita, CO. Nextran can help you take your career to the next level!

Nextran Truck Centers in Kansas City sells and services light, medium and heavy-duty trucks from top manufacturers such as GMC, Isuzu, Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks and Kalmar Ottawa. Starting pay for the Diesel Technician is $20 per hour. Top technicians can earn up to $40 per hour depending on experience.
Requirements of the Diesel Technician:
- Capability to perform diagnosis, maintenance and repair of Class 8 trucks
- Provide quality and cost effective maintenance for our customers
- Ability to complete all necessary repair orders
- Safely move trucks/equipment to/from shop and yard area
- Maintain safe and clean work area
- Computer experience
Qualifications for the Diesel Technician:
- Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- ASE Certification a plus
- Valid driver’s license required

- Must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds and will be expected to carry and push heavy items regularly (daily).
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Entry and exit from cab of vehicle.
- Required to sit for an extended period of time (hours) while driving delivery vehicle.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
