Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and Implementation:
- Design and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure IT infrastructure solutions.
- Implement infrastructure projects, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud solutions.
- Maintenance and Monitoring:
- Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of the IT infrastructure.
- Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Security:
- Implement and manage security measures to protect data, systems, and networks.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations.
- Network Management:
- Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Troubleshoot network issues and ensure network performance and availability.
- Cloud Services:
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Ensure seamless integration between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to understand infrastructure needs and deliver solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to IT staff and end-users.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare regular reports on infrastructure performance, capacity, and security.
- Capacity Planning and Optimization:
- Analyze current infrastructure capacity and forecast future needs.
- Implement optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Disaster Recovery and Backup:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Ensure regular backups and the integrity of backup data.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, AWS) are a plus.
- 3 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related role.
- Proven experience with network and server administration, virtualization, and cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Knowledge of security best practices and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and people skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
