Foreign Language Interpreter

The Foreign Language Interpreter provides verbal translation through use of their foreign language knowledge in communicating with clients, families and others based on business necessity when a language barrier exits.

Primary responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and fluid verbal translation between two or more languages during meetings, phone calls or
  video chats
• Assist in cultural adaptation of any materials to ensure effective communication across cultures
• Act as cultural mediator, addressing any cultural differences that may arise
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism while dealing with sensitive topics and information
• Provide cultural sensitivity and ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of diverse individuals and
  situations

Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and team membersRequired Education and Licensure:

• Must be 21 years of age and have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License: Must meet state regulating agency driving requirements and eligibility standard
• Preferred Education and Experience:
  • 2 years speaking the language, with ability to demonstrate fluency
  • Prefer interpreter certification or accreditation in a specific language(s)
