Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The IT Project Manager, under general supervision, will manage deployment projects and Teams, serve as a Fractional IT Manager to our clientele, as well as respond to and resolve support tickets for our client’s products and services. This includes a wide range of technologies, which requires general and specific technical expertise in many areas including:

  • Server and workstation hardware and software, including Windows, Linux, and Mac
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery (BDR)
  • Cyber Security Defense and Unified Threat Management (UTM)
  • Security Monitoring, including SOC and SIEM
  • Maintenance of IT Systems
  • Installation, service, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Operating System installation and configuration
  • Cloud and virtualization using VMWare and other technologies
  • Firewall, Router, Switch installation, and configuration
  • Centrally Managed WiFi – Mesh, PtP, and PtMP Solutions
  • Office 365
  • Server Technologies such as Exchange, SQL, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, etc.
  • VoIP and UCaaS Phone System install, configuration, repair, and support
  • Web Hosting configuration, repair, and support

A typical day can vary widely with a host of issues from simple to complex. The ability to prioritize activities, multi-task, and effectively manage multiple client requests and priorities is essential.

The IT Project Manager plays a vital role in our relationship with clientele, and it is essential to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, follow up, strong technical knowledge and skills, including the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with our clients and their technical staff.

  • Ability to remain in contact with the client through satisfactory completion of tickets.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and manage a team.
  • Excellent listening and communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong customer relationship skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in servers, routers, layer 2/3 switches, and other networking devices.

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Education: A minimum of BS in Computer Science or similar degree, or the equivalent in technical certifications.
  • Years of experience: A minimum of 8 years of on-site and remote Server, Desktop, and Network technical support and system administration experience required.
  • Past IT Project Management experience is required. Experience should include comprehensive Project Management knowledge and capabilities, including budgeting, project phasing, milestone(s) management, project team management, etc.
  • Industry-related experience highly desired: MSP/MSSP and experience in implementing Managed Service Solutions for clients is preferred.
  • Preferred Certifications: A , NET , Security , Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
