What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper - Onamia MN position at Nexus-Mille Lacs Family Healing?
Provide housekeeping services within the academy facilities that contribute to an environment that is positive, respectful, clean and therapeutic.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide routine cleaning and maintenance of the public and common areas of the academy
- Adhere to all Nexus safety guidelines as well as federal, state and local requirements.
- Maintain an adequate stock of cleaning supplies and materials.
- Supervise resident maintenance, housekeeping and renovation projects.
- Ensure confidentiality regarding residents’ issues, background and treatment and comply with Nexus policies involving resident privacy and confidentiality rules for residents and their families.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required by Nexus. Understand and support the Nexus philosophy and treatment modalities.
- Perform other responsibilities, tasks and projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Remain current on all required training and certifications. • Remain current on all fire, safety and maintenance codes for the facility.
- Interact cooperatively and patiently with residents/clients and provide work or project instruction effectively and respectfully.
- Exhibit a spirit of cooperation among coworkers and comply with corporate and site policies and procedures. Display ethical conduct at all times, with particular emphasis on maintaining a healthy relationship, appropriate boundaries with residents and protecting resident confidentiality.

Education, Credentials and Experience
- High School diploma or GED. Prefer housekeeping experience.
- First Aid/CPR/Blood Bourne Pathogen/TCI/Medication certification required annually.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets state regulating driving requirements and satisfies corporate eligibility standards.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time (4-6 hours) and navigate stairs frequently.
- Must be able to tolerate chemical odors or scents conducive to cleaning supplies and materials.
- Must be able to climb, twist, turn and bend in a manner conducive to a housekeeping environment.
