About this Position / Responsibilities
The selected candidate will become an integral member of the DC Access System (DCAS) Operations & Maintenance Team in the DC Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF).
Responsibilities:
Executes test cases under varying circumstances
Documents and evaluates test results
Detects, logs, and reports program bugs and glitches
Tracks defects and helps troubleshoot errors
Reviews test procedures and develops test scripts
Partners with engineers to drive QA efforts
Conduct full cycle testing-Smoke, Unit, Functional, Integration, UAT and Regression in multiple environments
Contribute to business discussions about the project and user interfaces
Troubleshoot problems and provide customer support for application issues
Responsible for ensuring technical quality with new and existing implementations
Responsible for ensuring customer quality with new and existing implementations
Responsible for continuous process improvement and analysis in current environment
Responsible for analyzing current performance metrics, testing, and recommending improvements
Qualifications
Job Qualification Requirements
Minimum 5 years of QA testing experience
Experience with IBM Curam is preferred
Experience in Agile frameworks and regression testing desired
High attention to detail and solid analytical skills
Proficient in test management software
Good working knowledge of programming languages
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Experience creating and executing manual test cases and automated test scripts
Excellent written communication skills; must be able to produce reports, presentations, and technical documentation
Excellent verbal communication skills; must be equally comfortable having high level technical conversations with our Dev Leads or translating technical details for non-technical audiences
Experience with testing frameworks and tools - Selenium, Cucumber, Fitness, Pytest
Experience with testing of server and database layers
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
