What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Operations Clerk (121) position at NFI Industries?
The Warehouse Operations Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all shipping and receiving documents are completed accurately and in a timely fashion. The WH Operations Clerk communicates with customers as required and in conjunction with customer Traffic Departments develops inbound and outbound schedules.
Shift Available:
- Monday - Friday: 7:30am-4pm
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides scheduling of all inbound and outbound freight in compliance with customer Traffic Department operations
- Coordinates receiving and shipping documents verifying accuracy
- Gathers and maintains all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities
- Verifies accuracy on shipping orders and shipping quantities matching picking documents
- Assists in resolving and discrepancies
- Collects all documentation for inbound freight and route to the proper recording keeping unit
- Directs and oversees the pallet control and exchange program
- Provides assistance on special projects at the discretion of the Lead Customer Service Representative (CSR) or CSR Supervisor
- Ensures security processes are followed with regard to the front desk (driver and visitor sign in)
- Answers and routes all telephone calls in a polite manner, taking messages and routing to proper individual in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Strong computer knowledge including MS Office applications
- Basic typing skills
- Familiarity with 10-key
- Shipping software systems including UPS and Federal Express
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
Other:
- Must be able to work in varying facilities
- Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
