NFI Massachusetts Inc., a non-profit human service organization, is currently seeking a full-time Case Manager for READY, its community-based DYS program, in Lowell and Lynn, MA.
READY is a community based, substance abuse and delinquency prevention program serving high risk adolescents and their families. It is based on the assumption that, while all adolescents are at risk to experimentation with alcohol and drugs, those who lack effective family and community support are especially vulnerable. READY seeks to build resiliency in adolescents and provide a positive youth development framework that uses intensive case management to coordinate and provide services to counteract the various factors that make youth vulnerable to substance abuse and delinquency. The case manager will have a caseload of 8-10 cases in the Lynn and Lowell area.
Job Responsibilities:
- To provide DYS committed youth with the services and support systems that they need to become productive, law-abiding citizens. This includes the coordination of key community stakeholders including families, schools, law enforcement agencies, social services and health agencies.
- To create a safer, substance free environment for clients and their families to thrive within their communities
- To assist youth with the development and implementation of their individual “success plan.” This includes educational plans, personal development, employment, independent living skills, family relationships and engaging in positive community activities
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Juvenile Justice or behavioral health related field required
- Substance abuse treatment experience preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience working directly with adolescents in a case management or mentoring role.
- Reliable transportation and flexible hours is a must.
Salary: $38,000 - $41,000
