Job Summary
The Database Administrator I provides support managing, monitoring and maintaining company databases, as well as other related systems and integrations.

This individual is responsible for the development and design of all enterprise database environments, supporting custom applications, reporting, data visualization tools, analytical solutions, data-auditing components, database performance, monitoring of systems, performance tuning, data object management, disaster recovery, database security, database upgrades and general data projects that support many clients.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Database systems, upgrades, and patching.
  • Monitor, analyze, and increase database performance.
  • Maintain IT Polices, control, compliance, and audits.
  • Maintain disaster recovery processes.
  • Analyze SQL code performance and complete unit testing at the database level of data and development projects.
  • Support department standards for database design, data integrity, and performance.
  • Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from four (4) year college or technical school.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience programming with T-SQL, SSIS, PowerShell, JSON/XML a plus.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience managing MS SQL Server databases.
  • Azure and AWS Database platform experience a plus.
  • Microsoft, Amazon and opensource database knowledge and experience a plus.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience participating in technology projects.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong reasoning skills, both logically and creatively.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, detail orientation, troubleshooting and communication skills (both written and verbal).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
