NH Children’s Trust is the leading backbone organization for the prevention of child abuse and neglect. NH Children’s Trust is leading the drive to ensure safe, stable, and nurturing relationships and environments for children by educating, advocating, and collaborating.
We have grown tenfold in the past three years (yup, even during the pandemic) and are poised to grow our grant funded programming to create generational impact for NH children and families. Duties
- Coordinate grant proposals and requests for support across all programs and departments
- Work with program directors to determine funding needs and program opportunities
- Collaborate with Finance Department on grant budget development
- Summarize and track data on grant submissions and awards in departmental database
- Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with private grantors, corporate funders, and governmental agencies.
- Provide monthly grant update reports to all program directors and staff, as appropriate
- Assist with grant contracts and reporting
- Work closely with program staff to track progress on and meet grant requirements
Requirements
- Five years of experience in a development role with an emphasis on government grants, as well as private foundations and family foundations
- Contribute to the execution of the organization’s overall philanthropy strategy--writing, and submitting grant funding proposals in line with funding priorities
- Well organized, detailed oriented and can work with complex grants within strict deadlines
- Works independently, but thrives on supporting a Team of caring professionals
- Ability to clearly articulate our mission and the positive impact we deliver
- Strong English writing proficiency; BA/BS minimum
- Strong knowledge of grant information sources
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of donor database systems
