Clerk of the works

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Clerk of the Works to join our team based in South West.

The salary on offer is from £35,000 to £45,000, with a £3,000 car allowance 27 days holiday, and up to 6% matched pension contribution.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Fire Compartmentalisation Project Manager and liaising with key stake holders in the region, you will drive the programme deliverables and business compliance in accordance with the National Programme Manager’s plan.

Key role responsibilities :

Liaising with contractors, engineers and surveyors including initial site surveys and Pre-Start meetings. Being mobile, you will travel in your region between an office base, your home and construction sites and be the trusted face of the FCP and NHSPS Construction Team.

Measuring and quality checking building materials and installation methods.

The successful candidates will :

• Understanding of Construction / Fire Compartmentation methods
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a construction / Hard FM delivery function
• Experience of working in a health care related environment
• Experience of working in a customer focused environment
• Experience of using different access tools / equipment
• Have knowledge of :
• The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, roles, and responsibilities
• Knowledge of building regulations (2023 as amended), health and safety, legal and ecological requirements are met
• Focus on Regulation 38 is critical
