Job Description

Opportunities to gain engineering experience during your co-op term include:

• Encountering real-world problems will help improve the skills learned in your university engineering curriculum
• Working with a cross-functional team will provide valuable insight to all aspects of the business
• As a manufacturing engineering co-op, the candidate may utilize, improve upon, and/or learn a variety of different skills such as electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, robotics, quality control, and lean manufacturing

The ideal candidate would need the following skills and abilities:

• Dependable – will do tasks thoroughly to completion
• Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Ability to work in a professional setting & with team members
• Proficient with SolidWorks and/or AutoCad drafting software & use.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimension & Tolerance System
• Good analytical & drafting skills
• Experience with basic quality tools
• Proficient PC word processing and spreadsheet software skills
• Good oral, presentation, and written communication skills
• Ability to work with & communicate with vendors
• Initiative to work with minimum supervision & manage overall task
• Courage to take on challenges with the possibility of failure
• Passion for learning
