Company DescriptionREFID487548Job DescriptionSUMMARYThe Global CMI COE Leader will be responsible for all aspects of revenue recognition, accounting, and billing operations, with primary emphasis on US GAAP standards and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls. The CMI COE Leader will manage the global accounting and billing practices to ensure accurate customer invoicing based on the terms of the arrangements and proper revenue recognition. In addition to monthly accounting and reporting of revenue, this person will provide guidance for and implement process improvements, identify revenue control risks, and ensure effective implementation and documentation of revenue control plans.DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:· Lead a diverse onshore and offshore team responsible for revenue recognition, billing, and accounting operations for the $400M CMI Global business.· Lead the month end, quarter end, and year end close processes in a timely fashion and in accordance with US GAAP and SOX controls.· Manage and maintain compliance of ASC 606 revenue recognition practices.· Maintain robust reporting and accounting controls processes to mitigate risk and ensure SOX compliance.· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.· Identify process improvement and automation opportunities and implement solutions that improve timeliness and accuracy of financial transactions.· Partner with internal stakeholders including teams in Financial Planning & Analysis, Technology, Tax, Legal, Pricing, Commercial, Operations, Internal Audit, and regional controllership leads.· Serve as a key resource for special projects including M&A with the ability to both lead as well as provide meaningful contributions, as necessary.· Be the primary point of contact and subject matter specialist for CMI project accounting activities and provide revenue recognition and accounting guidance.· Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of annual audit report.Qualifications · Be ASC 606 revenue recognition proficient.· Have thorough knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and procedures.· Experience working with Sarbanes-Oxley standards and requirements.· Experience working in a scaling global business and leveraging technology to create efficiencies.· Experience working in multinational, multi-cultural environment, virtually and in-person.· Demonstrated ability to think critically in a rapidly changing environment.· Ability to create and deliver clear and concise written and verbal communications.· Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, to interact with all levels of business, and to develop and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance individuals.· Ability to coach and mentor accounting staff at all levels.· Advanced proficiency in MS Excel as well as experience with SAP preferred.· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, a master’s degree preferred but not required.· Public accounting experience a plus.· 8 years of progressive accounting experience.Additional InformationAbout NIQNIQ is the world’s leading consumer intelligence company, delivering the most complete understanding of consumer buying behavior and revealing new pathways to growth.
