What are the responsibilities and job description for the R&D Research Analyst position at NielsenIQ?
BASES (a NielsenIQ company) is an industry leader in innovation analysis and forecasting. At BASES, we study how consumers perceive and respond to new product ideas and executions, product packaging and staging, and product advertising. As a Research Analyst in the Neuro division of our Product Leadership team, you will work closely with experienced neuroscientists, data scientists, and market researchers to execute studies, as well as compile, analyze and interpret marketing research data. Our team uses neuroscience and advanced analytics to tackles such questions as consumer preferences and decision making, choice modeling, measurement of advertisement effectiveness, sensory contributions to product perception, and others. You will work collaboratively to assist in the creation of research reports and thought leadership.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product Leadership and Neuroscience teams to help execute R&D projects.
- Compile, analyze, and summarize data findings for internal teams.
- Draft reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with operations team to manage and track project timelines.
- Perform literature reviews on neuroscience and behavioral science topics.
- Assist in the creation of thought leadership pieces.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in neuroscience, psychology, cognitive sciences, data science, or related field.
- 2 year of research experience or Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience with data analysis software (Python or MATLAB preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
